The festival has become established on the European film festival circuit. It’s attracted talent such as Oscar-winning producer Simon Chinn and award-winning Moon director Duncan Jones, and has received coverage and praise from national publications such as The Guardian, Film4 and Screen International.
In 2009, the Jersey Arts Trust helped to fund and facilitate an educational event at Jersey Live, bringing a number of music industry professionals to the island to take part in a panel discussion event. Our relationship with the festival is ongoing and the educational programme is expected to grow each year.
Live music promoters Club Kamikaze have brought over an array of international talent with the funding of the Jersey Arts Trust, to firmly establish themselves as a key part of the island’s music scene.
The Jersey Arts Trust has in recent years built a reputation for collaborative development projects that encourage the creation of new work by local and international Artists.
Increasingly, JAT has worked to consider Jersey within a broader International context, opening its opportunities up to participants from all over the world, enabling a much broader scope of people to benefit from Jersey’s unique creative offering, whilst then reinvesting that in the local community through its outreach. At the same time it supports professional and emerging Jersey Artists to reach new audiences beyond its shores.
